Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is valued for its superior regenerative and moisturising properties and because of this is frequently used to boost an ordinary soap recipe into an extraordinary one. This oil is rich in vitamins A, B, D and E as well as lecithin, potassium, protein, beta carotene and amino acids.

Cocoa Butter

Cocoa Butter is a solid, off-white butter that is extracted from the beans of theTheobroma Cacao plant. 

Benefits Properties
  • Produces a lovely hard bar with a stable lather.
  • Is very conditioning making it good for eczema, dermatitis, stretch marks.
  • Creates a barrier between your skin and the sometimes harsh environment, keeping the moisture in your skin where it belongs.

Coconut Oil 

Not only does it produce a rock hard soap with a fantastic lather but this oil is wonderfully moisturising and adds a barrier to the skin protecting it from the elements. It’s cleansing ability is amazing and is one of the few oils that produces a soap that will lather in salt water.

Grapeseed Oil

  • A good choice for those with sensitive skin due to it’s non-allergenic properties.
  • Good for oily or acne prone skin due to it’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also astringent and will help tighten up skin.
  • Reported to help reduce the look of stretch marks and relieve dry itchy skin. 

Olive Oil 

High in Oleic acid, this oil will absorb into the skin and form a protective barrier against the elements. It also acts as a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin and is said to help aid skin cell regeneration.

Shea Butter

Has some fantastic natural skin loving benefits. Rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, this oil forms a breathable barrier on your skin that helps to protect it from harsh elements like the sun and wind. It is often used in products for soothing skin irritations, sun protection, healing minor cuts and burns and of course skin moisturising.

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet Almond Oil produces a rich conditioning lather. High in Vitamins E, A and D as well as Oleic and Linoleic fatty acids, this oil is perfect for soothing dry, flaky and irritated skin. It is said to be beneficial for skin ailments like rashes, psoriasis and eczema. Suitable for all skin types, this oil is often used as a base for massage oils when the need to dilute stronger essential oils is required. With it’s emollient properties, it effectively softens the skin leaving it soft and supple. Activated Charcoal
